<p>Meet my new favorite mushroom: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helvella_lacunosa"><em>Helvella lacunosa</em></a>, or the Fluted Black Elvin Saddle. Today was a bumper day for mushrooms – my daughter and I photographed at least five or six new species for the season.</p>
